How can i discipline my hamster?

I have a honey bear hamster… he used to bite his metal cage, so i went out and bought him a glass tank with a vented top, and now he loves biting the glue on that and he has chew toys in his cage.what should i do???

Hamsters and some other rodents have to keep biting and chewing to keep their teeth from growing too long, they grow constantly. It is cruel to keep him from chewing. Also you can’t do anything about him biting you. He must have been either scared or hurt by your handling or thought you were food. He now knows you are not food. The glue will not be good for him either.
