How much are sugar bear pocket pets?

They are SO cute and I want one!

Sugar gliders are quite expensive and high-maitenance pets.

You cannot buy ‘a’ sugar glider. Sugar gliders are animals that MUST be kept in pairs. The starting price for most sugar gliders are about $200 each. If you want a rare color, you can pay up to $1000 each.

Food costs approximately $50 a month because they need produce and live insects to feed them. Setting up their initial habitat and cage usually costs about $300. So, in the first month, you’ll need about $700 just to get started.

Pros:
-Cute
-Stays in a cage
-Bonds to you
-Once bonded, will hang out on your sholder and climb on you

Cons:
-Yes, they urinate all over you everytime you touch them and all around their cage. They are not able to be potty trained
-They fling their food everywhere.
-They are nocturnal, so they make noise at night
-Require lots of fresh food and bugs, so you have to go shopping often
-Very expensive to buy, hard to find supplies and vets that know a lot about them.
